Terms of Service

Welcome to CrownShift. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CrownShift iOS application ("App"), operated by CrownShift ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 17 years old to use CrownShift.
  • If you are between 17 and 18, you confirm that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and consents to these Terms and your use of the App.
  • By using the App, you represent that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms in your jurisdiction.

2. Your Account

  • You must create an account with a valid email address and password to use CrownShift.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You agree to notify us immediately at crownshiftappsupport@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
  • You may not create more than one account per person or use another person's account without their permission.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we believe are being used fraudulently or abusively.

3. Credits & In-App Purchases

What Credits Are

CrownShift uses a credits system to access AI-powered features, including hairstyle previews, hair analysis, and the Edit Look feature. Credits are consumed each time you use these features.

Purchasing Credits

  • Credits are purchased as one-time in-app purchases through the Apple App Store.
  • All payments are processed by Apple. We do not collect or store your payment information.
  • Credit packs are displayed with their price in the App before purchase.

Non-Refundable

  • All credit purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policies.
  • Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value.
  • We do not issue refunds for unused credits or credits consumed by features you were dissatisfied with.
  • To request a refund through Apple, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. All refund decisions are made by Apple.

Credit Expiry

Credits do not expire while your account remains active. If your account is terminated for a violation of these Terms, any remaining credits are forfeited.

4. AI-Generated Content

  • CrownShift uses Google's Gemini AI to generate hairstyle preview images and hair analysis results ("AI Output").
  • AI Output is generated for personal, informational, and entertainment purposes only. It is not a guarantee of how a hairstyle will look in real life.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, realism, or completeness of any AI-generated preview or analysis.
  • You should not make significant personal or financial decisions (e.g., purchasing hair products, booking services) based solely on AI Output.
  • We are not liable for any dissatisfaction, emotional distress, or outcomes resulting from acting on AI-generated content.

5. User-Uploaded Content

  • By uploading photos to CrownShift, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process those photos solely for the purpose of generating your requested AI Output.
  • You represent and warrant that you own the rights to any photos you upload, or have obtained all necessary permissions from the individuals depicted.
  • You may not upload photos containing minors, non-consenting third parties, or any content that is illegal, obscene, or in violation of any person's privacy or intellectual property rights.
  • We do not use uploaded photos to train AI models or share them with third parties beyond what is described in our Privacy Policy.
  • We reserve the right to delete any content that violates these Terms.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use CrownShift to:

  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
  • Upload, transmit, or generate content that is defamatory, harassing, abusive, threatening, or discriminatory.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App, its servers, or related systems.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the App.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or other tools to interact with the App.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent the credits system.

7. Account Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time via Profile → Delete Account in the App, or by contacting us at crownshiftappsupport@gmail.com.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for conduct we determine is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately and any remaining credits are forfeited.

8. Intellectual Property

  • The CrownShift name, logo, app design, hairstyle catalog, and all associated content are the property of CrownShift and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
  • You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, or publicly display any part of the App without our express written permission.
  • AI-generated preview images produced for your personal use may be saved and shared for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

9. Disclaimers

  • The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
  • We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
  • We do not guarantee that AI-generated hairstyle previews will accurately represent how a style will appear on you in real life, as results depend on photo quality, lighting, and the limitations of AI technology.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CrownShift and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or emotional distress, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Dispute Resolution

  • Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the App shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us at crownshiftappsupport@gmail.com.
  • If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), to the extent permitted by applicable law.
  • Arbitration shall take place in the State of California.
  • You agree to waive your right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against CrownShift.
  • Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief from a court for issues relating to intellectual property or unauthorized access.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the App or on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
